Orlando FL, September 14, 2012: The highly anticipated event to hit Orlando Florida is only 7 weeks away. The 1st Annual Orlando Jerk and Caribbean Festival kicks off on October 28, 2012 at the beautiful Orlando Festival Park from 12 – 8 p.m. This event is being put on by Full-A-Vybez Inc.
Full A Vybez Inc. is a reputable Event Management/Promoting company based in West Palm Beach Florida created in 2004. Full A Vybez Inc. is more popularly known for its unique events such as: The Palm Beach Jerk and Caribbean Festival which is one of the longest running Caribbean Festivals. This Annual event is held in Palm Beach Florida and have seen 9 successful stagings . This event celebrates the rich culture that is reminiscent of the Islands of the Caribbean. A highlight of this event is the exciting “Jerk Cook –Off Competition” where some of Florida’s “Master Chefs” and “Restaurateurs” get to show off their cooking skills by creating some of the most exotic Caribbean influenced dishes that are sure to tantalize the taste buds. The last staging of this event saw patrons being treated to a live concert which featured Artistes such as: Baby Cham and Award Winning Artiste Sanchez and popular band Fab 5. This event has grown tremendously since its inception stage in 2004 as it attracts patrons from various ethnic groups and has seen crowds as large as 15,000 people. Patrons of the Caribbean are particularly drawn to this event as it brings creates a sense of autonomy to their Culture. The 1st Annual Orlando Jerk and Caribbean Festival will complement its sister event, and some of the popular events such as the “Jerk off Competition” will be retained. This is a family oriented event and there will be a designated “Kiddies Korner”. This area will feature fun filled activities such as: Face Painting, Bounce House, Clowns and Magicians. Patrons can also expect to see a vivacious Fashion Show which features some of the most exotic models who were born to “Rock the Runway” to the pulsating beats of some of the hottest music. In addition to the Fashion Show, Jerk Cook Off Competition and Kiddies Area, there will also be the very popular live concert, which is a staple of any Full-A-Vybez Inc. production. The concert features authentic Live Bands, Sound Systems and Artistes from the Caribbean. Headlining the show this year is Jamaican Reggae Music Pioneer, The Great Freddie McGregor. McGregor is said to be one of Reggae’s most durable and soulful singers and has been around since the 1960s. McGregor has earned his title as he stays relevant to the times. Also headlining this years’ show is popular Dancehall Artiste Cham popularly known as “Baby Cham”. Cham has had numerous hits and is more popularly known for hit songs such as “Vitamin S” and his 2006 Collaboration hit “Ghetto Story” with Alicia Keys. Also included in the performance line-up is Jamaican Singer Terry Linen of the breakthrough hit “No Time to Linger“. Linen entered the music scene in the new Millennium and is known for his clear distinctive voice.
He has secured a place in the hearts of Reggae lovers all over the world because of his infectious lyrics and meticulous song writing skills. It is guaranteed that patrons will have a grand time being entertained by the antics of the very comedic and veteran artist “Professor Nuts”.
The event will be held at the Orlando Festival Park, 2911 East Robinson Street conveniently located at Colonial Drive and the 408 Expressway by the Orlando Executive Airport. Gates open from 12 p.m. – 8 pm. The show begins at 3.pm. sharp and Patrons are asked to come out early and bring the entire family. Early Bird Tickets are $10 per person in advance, $20.00 at the Gate and Children under 12 are Free.
